Our Story

The Meow Maid was established in Buffalo, NY, with a specific focus on providing exceptional care for cats. Created and managed by owner, Melissa, the business was born out of the realization of the challenges in locating dependable and high-quality cat care services. Taking the lead to meet this demand, Melissa founded a service that cat lovers could rely on. Her affection for cats and commitment to animal welfare motivated her to transform her passion for felines into a meaningful enterprise that enriches the lives of cats and offers reassurance to their caregivers.

Melissa has 15 years of experience working in the hospitality industry and volunteers at Tabby Town Cat Adoption Center. She works independently and with local cat organizations to help stray cats by  humanely trapping, socializing and providing a loving foster home to prepare cats for adoption.

In her spare time, Melissa likes to play guitar, write music, and go to concerts. She's also an auto enthusiast who enjoys attending car shows, watching Rallycross events and detailing cars. However, her favorite thing to do is spend quality time at home with her loving fiancé, Matt, and their four wonderful kitties.
