Our Story

The Meow Maid began in Buffalo, NY with a straightforward goal to offer thoughtful, dedicated care designed specifically for cats. Founded and run by Melissa, the business grew from her desire to provide trustworthy, feline-focused in-home cat sitting, which she pours genuine heart into every day.

In addition to caring for clients’ cats, Melissa is deeply involved in independent rescue. She traps and rehabilitates stray cats, covering their veterinary needs and fostering them until they find permanent homes. She also volunteers with local cat rescues whenever extra hands are needed, supporting the community and helping more cats find loving homes.

Outside of her work with cats, Melissa enjoys playing guitar, writing music, and going to concerts. She’s a lifelong car enthusiast who loves classic cars, car shows, and Rallycross racing. Alongside her fiancé, Matt, she co-owns Phase Detail, a mobile car detailing business. Most of all, she treasures quiet time at home with Matt and their four feline family members!
